Hi everyone!
My family is well and safe…. but our area was hard hit by Hurricane Sandy- and we are still without power, Internet access, and well…. running water and flushing toilets to be honest with you! Schools are not open yet- so my days are spent pioneer-style…. making fires to keep my family warm, cooking over an open flame (thank goodness my stovetop is powered by propane gas!), and entertaining the kids! And of course, running out to my car in an attempt to re-charge my cell phone (just like the pioneers used to do, right?)! If you have been posting comments here or on my Facebook page- I apologize for my lack of response! The only time I have Internet access is when we are driving around looking for ice or spending a few moments at a friend’s house in CT taking hot showers (thanks Lisa and Rick!)…..
I look forward to getting back to my blog when I can!

I bet you do “pioneer-style” well. Can’t wait to read all about the post-Sandy adventures. Hope life starts to return to normal soon.

I hope things are looking better a few days later! You are missed! If there’s any way we can help, moms in the Philly Social Media Moms group have been organizing collections, etc.

Thanks Barb! I’ve had so many people reach out to me with offers for help, and I am truly touched by it. We can get out and drive to the next town over for supplies- so we have everything we need for now…. we just want out power back! And really- we are just inconvenienced…. it’s nothing compared to what others have gone through from this storm!
