I was chatting with a mom-friend yesterday who was singing the praises of a local shoe shop that she frequents where she buys her daughter’s shoes at FULL PRICE simply because “the salespeople there really know how to measure children’s feet”. She went on and on about having to pay $65 or more for each pair of shoes and then she asked me how our family handles it- do we take all 6 kids into the store at the same time to be measured? And my goodness- what does our bill look like when we leave? She was shocked when I explained that for the most part I only buy my kids shoes on-line… always shopping with an eye towards discounted prices. She couldn’t believe it….”But how do you know what sizes they need?”
I have my own foot sizer! Who needs to go to the shoe store and pay full price when you can easily measure your own children’s feet and take advantage of sales at 6pm (you do know about this online Zappos outlet site, right?) and free shipping from Zappos? The style selection at both sites is HUGE and you can always find something on sale. We have had this at-home shoe sizer since they were babies- and it was well worth the $13 we paid for it at One Step Ahead!
