Even though my kids still have three weeks left of school, the beautiful warm days are definitely here and the kids are so excited about the start of summer! So I thought I would share a few ideas with you that are prefect for kicking off one terrific summer!
How about kicking off summer with this watermelon shark?
And speaking of watermelon…. I love the idea of this beautiful watermelon cake! I am not sure that I would actually go as far as Robin did from Bird on a Cake and actually make mine watermelon-flavored…. I think I would be happier with plain-old-regular white cake that just looks the part!
Summer is a time to enjoy the outdoors!
And I am in love with this recirculating fountain from Tatertots and Jello! I just can’t convince my husband to actually create it (I think he might be a little burned out from the Great Garage Challenge!).
A great printable to hold your summer plans!
I have spent a good part of this weekend working on our plans for “Camp Rowley” this summer (our summer camp at home!), and when I saw this beautiful summer fun chart printable from The Crafting Chicks, I printed it so that I could start filling it in with all of the cool things we plan to do!
A Fab Idea for Father’s Day…. but you’ll need to order it soon!
I love this idea for an “All About my Dad’ Book from Paper Coterie! You can upload 19 of your own pictures to personalize the book, and then when you get it in the mail, you can sit down with the kids and complete the pages that ask them to describe their Dad. And the best part…. head on over to How Does She? to get the promo code to purchase the book at 60% off!
